Sandalye yapımında kullanılan malzeme fiyatın belirlenmesinde en etkili yöntemlerden birisidir. Sandalyenin metal, alüminyum, ahşap veya tel malzemeden üretilmesi fiyatı etkilemektedir. Sandalyenin rahatsız olması uzun oturma süreleri söz konusu olduğunda sağlığı rahatsız edebilecek ölçüde tehlikeli olabilmektedir.
